I welcome you to the Sacredness and Beauty of the Frame Drum. A drum defined by the drumhead being much wider than its depth. This most beautiful of drums has been played by women and healers for many thousands of years. Archaeologists are finding depictions of the Frame Drum from as far back in time as 5 600 years BC. Played with the hands in honour of the Divine Mother and her Goddesses. Through the passing of the moons and the seasons, to honour the Rites of Passage, for pleasure, play and Ceremony, the women played Frame Drums.
